Appleworks for PC

Postby job1970 » Sun Dec 28, 2008 7:54 pm

Is there still an Appleworks for PC's?

What is the latest version?

Will it work on Vista?

Both my son and I have an occasion to use pc laptops and need it.

Thanks!

The last version of AppleWorks (Win) was 6.2.2. It was available only to the North American education market. Apple no longer sells any version of AppleWorks, but you might find a copy on eBay or other similar sites.

I don't know whether AW 6.2.2 will work on Windows Vista, but I think there are other applications of about the same vintage being used on one of the Vista PCs that I occasionally use.

Barry

Don't forget that Microsoft offers Virtual PC 2007, which is free, and with this you can run a copy of Windows XP within Vista to run older, incompatible software.

I have not experienced any trouble with AppleWorks 6.2.2 on Vista, but I have not used it much there, either.

Hi,

If you google <appleworks 6.2> it sends you to hardcoremac's AppleWorks 6.2 web page.

There is a sentence highlighted in red "...Need AppleWorks for Windows XP click here..." Is it Vista user friendly?

Perhaps a call to hardcoremac at: 1-520-723-8702, or e-mailing them at:

<[email protected]> will give you the definitive answer.
