database field names show

I cannot get the field names to disappear when I print my database layout. All I want are the records to be printed in a column, like an address book.

Try setting up a New Layout that does not include the Fieldname labels.

Search AppleWorks Help (in the Help menu on your machine) for details on creating a layout.

For an Address book, you'll probably want to use a Columnar Report.

After inserting the fields you want into the layout, press shift-command-L to enter Layout mode.

The fieldname labels are contained in one or more Text frames in the Header part of the layout. To delete the labels, select the frame containing it, then press Delete. When you have deleted all of the frames, delete the header part itself by dragging the Header boundary up to the top of the page.

Press shift command-B to return to Browse mode.
