default colour for wordprocessing

Is it possible to have a colour other than white for the default colour when
writing a text file in AW? I know you can mess around and put text in a background colour but I wondered if a default was possible.

No.

You can place a colour filled rectangle behind the text layer (as a floating object), but I don't think you'll like the result.

If your text is in a text frame, you can fill the frame with a colour. This is somewhat better behaved than the procedure mentioned above.

Note that in the first case, and in Print View in the second case, you will still have white margins around the edge of the page.
