e-mail

I have an iMac OS 9.2.2, Internet Explorer 5.1.7, and MS Outlook Express 5, Macintosh Edition.

When I drag & drop text onto OE from an Appleworks document, it is transfered as the "smallest" type.

How can I avoid this? My default OE text settings are "Techo-Normal," size 18.

I don't know, but this sounds more like an MSOE problem than an AW one.

When I did the same thing, MSOE accepted the text in its default font and size. Changing this in Preferences resulted in subsequent pastes (in a separate message) adopting the newly set font and size. This was independent of font and size changes in AppleWorks.

Microsoft does offer a support site for its software (including Outlook Express), and that might be a better place to get a solution for this issue.

Thanks You ...but:
My ‘New e-mail’ message settings: Techno-Normal text, Medium size.
The MSOE general preferences are set at: Techno-Normal text, 18 point.

When I drag & dropped some 18 point Techno-Normal text, from an AppleWorks document, onto a new e-mail message, the text becomes Smallest.

When I drag & dropped some mixed Techno-Normal text (heading 24 point, body 18 point) onto a new e-mail message, however, the heading is Medium, but the body is Smallest. Go Figure!?

Go figure, indeed. I can only repeat what I said earlier: Microsoft does offer a support site for its software (including Outlook Express), and that might be a better place to get a solution for this issue.
