Copying text

Postby kendrew » Wed Sep 07, 2005 8:59 pm

iMac G5/Tiger 10.4.2/AppleWorks 6.2.9.

I cannot read the default Helvetica 12 on screen. It is too cluttered and compressed. I have changed preferences to Verdana 12 - much better spacing and easy to read.
However, when I copy and paste text from other parts of the same document or other documents with Verdana or other font, the ensuing paste defaults back to Helvetica.
Is there any setting or work around to override this?

Your advice is appreciated.

You've run into the long standing (and dreaded) Helvetica bug. Clicking on the Search link above and entering "helvetica" in the search box will lead you to a number of posts, including John's in this thread:

in which a solution is offered.

Thanks Barry for your response - and your patience.
I committed the sin of not doing a search before submitting my post.

Kendrew,

Don't regard it as a sin. I only point out the possibility of searching for future reference.
