Page Setup in painting module

When I use the painting module in Appleworks 6.2.9 the horizontal setup doesn't show up. Any hints ?

Page orientation appears in the Page Setup dialog as it does in other types of documents, but a Paint document is defined by its height and width in pixels, not in terms of pages, and the change in orientation will have no apparent effect on the screen (until Page view is turned on).

The default size of a Paint document fits on a single US Letter size (assuming this is your default paper size) page, in portrait orientation, and with one inch margins all around.

To see the effect of changing from Portrait to Landscape, draw a filled rectangle, about two thirds the height and width of the page, centered top to bottom, and abutting the right edge of the available space. Turn on Page view (in the Window menu). Then choose Landscape orientation in Page Setup.

=========

To make a single page, Landscape oriented Paint document, open a new Paint doc, set orientation to Landscape, and turn on Page view. Then go Format > Document...

Note the numbers in the two boxes in the Size section (probably 468 and 648). Switch the two numbers, placng the larger in the Width box and the smaller in the Height box.
