emergency - lost text of college essay

I'm writing an essay for class on 9/21. Accidentally, I quit A/W. On reopening, all I can find is a version with one paragraph, rather than the five pages. I've checked Recent Documents. It just has the one-paragraph. AutoSave in empty.

Is there a way to recover this?
