70° 7 0 shift-option-8

7 0 option-K produces a similar, but smaller circle, but that character does not seem to be displayable in this forum.

This is a Font characteristic rather than an AppleWorks one. All standard Mac Roman fonts have the degree mark at this location if they include the character.

You can find the locations of keyboard accessible characters using Keyboard Viewer. Go Apple menu > System Preferences > International > Input menu > Show Keyboard viewer. If the Input menu is not already showing in your Menu bar, it will appear as a small flag indicating your current keyboard layout. The menu will include any keyboard layouts you have checked, plus the Keyboard viewer.
