iworks versus powerpoint

Hello. I am relatively new to mac. I have Microsoft Office (powerpoint) on my mac. I'm wondering if it makes sense to purchase iworks.

One thing I'm missing is a program to print greeting cards. I used to use Hallmark on my old pc. Would iwork do this?
